It looks like there might be a few surprises this year, but the first cat seems to have been let out of the bag!

Secret Sets at Reading Festival have a long and fine tradition, but very much vary from year to year. Last year bigger artists appearing at the BBC Introducing Stage were all we got, three acts – one at the same time slot each day. Not so this year, there is at least one high profile slot on The Grid (the main stage) on Sunday afternoon. There is definitely a possibility of more surprises this year with a lot of gaps on the stage timings.
At least one Secret Set has been revealed by Festival Republic via their Spotify playlist for the festival. Scroll through ‘Reading & Leeds 2026’ and every single song is by a confirmed act… except one. Royal Blood’s fab new single ‘Ten Over Ten’ is nestled in there and it seems very unlikely to be a mistake. Of course, if it ends up being another Leeds guitar band exclusive we might end up screaming, but it seems unlikely.
Is this the big Sunday slot? Maybe, maybe they will be in another slot – either way it seems 100% certain they will be appearing.
The band are releasing a new album, Dead Company, on November 13th and are touring that same month. They are playing a couple of low-key UK dates this week that would serve as a good warm-up, following on from a surprise appearance at Pukkelpop a few days ago.
As huge fans of the band this is very exciting news!!!
