A smaller selection this week, there were just too many good new albums to listen to!
Single of the Week: Lucy Rose – Pale Blue Eyes
An outstanding new single from Lucy Rose, a lush expansive tune designed for easy summer listening.
The Raveonettes – Blackest
Great new single from the garage rock veterans. Heavy drums, intriguing lyrics and the expected quality guitar riffs.
Architects and House of Protection – Brain Dead
Full on metal assault on your eardrums.
Gigi Perez – Chemistry
‘Sailor Song’ was everywhere for ages. This is another lovely piece of singer-songwritingness.
Djo – Delete Ya
Showing he is more than basic being basic, this is a nice effort with an almost ‘The Police,’ or bands of that era, style feel.
EtaCas – Take Your Shot
More Indietronica goodness.

The Ting Tings – Good People Do Bad Things
Whilst I love bands that experiment and change sound, I don’t think anyone could have anticipated a full morph into Fleetwood Mac from The Ting Tings. It is working so far though I fear the album might sound a little bit too derivative.
BIG SPECIAL – DUST OFF/START AGAIN Benefits Remix.
Whilst I enjoyed the original version this Benefits remix ups the ante in every way.
