At Reading Indie Life, we love all things Indie and want to celebrate and promote that. We also want to celebrate and promote the local music scene. From the behemoth that is Reading Festival, to bands just starting out playing to a few people in their local pub. Everybody has to start somewhere. Gareth Reading Indie Life’s first proper gig was Oasis on the Be Here Now Tour at Wembley Arena in 1997. It launched a love of live music that peaked in the noughties where you were likely to find him at The Oxford Zodiac (now the site of the 02 Academy) at least once a week. In recent years, his love of music has renewed, and he has been listening to a wide array of new albums. A Reading local for over 14 years, he enjoys being close enough to walk to the festival and packs in a lot of his annual gig going into those three busy days.
