A band of teenagers run off with this installment of Single of The Week.

Single Of The Week: Red Ivory – Crashing Down

Eiliyah, Berry, Frida and Ivy formed Red Ivory in autumn 2021 as a group of fourteen-year-olds. After four years of growth and playing live they release their debut EP ‘Please Leave, I Need To Wake Up Now’ on November 28th. This track starts slowly but rapidly builds in intensity before repeating the trick again. Catch them at the Sebright Arms in December.

Clara Mann and Owen Spafford – 500 Miles

Clara Mann is a stunning artist with an incredible voice. To celebrate an extended version of debut album Rift a double A side single has been released. This is an interpretation of a classic folk song featuring her playing partner in recent live shows, fiddle player Owen Spafford.

dust – Restless

The Australian music scene is in rude health and these guys might just be the next big break-out stars. There is a hint of Fontaines D.C. about them and they have that de rigueur 2025 accessory, the saxophone.

The Last Dinner Party – Second Best

Another solid effort from the sophomore album due 17th October.

Alien Chicks – Illuminati

Our biggest regret of this year’s Are You Listening? Festival was that we missed this incredible band. This has a real punk energy running through it.

Cliffords – Dungarvan Bay (Acoustic Version)

Cliffords are utterly brilliant. This is a haunting acoustic version of an earlier release.

Luvcat and John Cooper Clarke – He’s My Man (The Anniversary)

Luvcat puts out this revamped version of He’s My Man featuring the 76-year-old poetry legend John Cooper Clarke.

The Charlatans – Deeper and Deeper

The Charlatans have been going since 1988 and this is a typically solid new release from the indie-rock veterans.

More tracks on the playlist including Matt Maltese and Dry Cleaning.
