A playlist full of fresh young talent this week.

Single of the Week: sleepazoid – NEW AGE

Possibly the only band in Australia to not be at Reading Festival last month, however a few more tracks this good should correct that in the future. They can rock out and they can do melodious harmonies. Australia’s pub-rock scene is alive and well at the moment.

Mouth Culture – Picking Wings Off A Butterfly

We didn’t get to Mouth Culture at Reading, but we need to correct that soon in the future. This is a very well put together indie-rock track and their reputation grows stronger every day.

Nothing Rhymes With Orange – Shearwater

This band are going to be huge. Still at University in Bristol, but every release shows them growing in confidence and skill. This has real epic qualities to it.

Sonic Whip – Survive

At the Purple Turtle recently and one that we were gutted we couldn’t get to. This very talented Dutch band deserve to be growing at a much faster rate and a few more tracks like this will definitely help.

Strangers on a Bench with Clara Mann – Thunder and Lightning

We have seen our share of outrageously talented individuals this year, and Clara Mann is right up there amongst them with her incredible voice. Strangers on a Bench is a singer/songwriter and a podcaster who talks to strangers on park benches.

Alffa – Disgrazia

We love this Welsh language heavy rock duo. A fun new single with typically on point guitar and drums.

Paris Paloma – Good Boy

Another incredible talent. Paris Paloma is a fiercely feminist and highly literate singer-songwriter. This has a great tune and vocal, but the vocals are typically devastating in their dismantling of another over-inflated male ego.

Artio (feat. Cody Frost) – The Devil You Know

Artio are a very exciting proposition. Here they team up with Cody Frost for a high energy noise assault.

bar italia – rooster

An indie band that have been highly tipped in many quarters. Their debut album is out soon. This track has a lot going for it, whilst quieter in sections it rocks out in style.

Nia Archives and CLIPZ – Maia Maia

We love Nia Archive’s junglist stylings and this track is particularly high energy. Huge amounts of fun.

Also on the playlist: Cardinals, RAYE, Lewis Capaldi, The Wombats and many more.
