Any Young Mechanic

Alt-folk outfit. Formerly known as Wake In Fright though that material is currently on Bandcamp under the name ‘That’s Not Us!’ due a conflict over the previous name. Part of this year’s Australian invasion of the festival.

Glixen

Put in with shoegaze and big fans of fuzzy guitar, but at times more reminiscent of the shimmering approach of Interpol. From Phoenix, Arizona.

jasmine.4.t

We are huge fans of jasmine.4.t at Reading Indie Life. Debut album ‘You Are The Morning’ is locked into the top five albums released this year at this point. Beautiful portraits of tiny moments of life captured on acoustic guitar. Live, jasmine leans into her skate-punk tastes for a slightly rockier set.

Been Stellar

New York based indie-rock band. Famed producer Dan Carey worked on their proper debut album (Fontaines D.C. , Heartworms and many more artists) so as you would imagine there is real potential and ability here. Going to cause a headache choosing between these guys, Nemzzz and Bloc Party.

Sofia Isella

One of the artists we are most excited about all weekend. There are some very intriguing releases so far from this immensely talented 20 year old. Kind of like a young, female version of Nick Cave.

Snayx

Lively UK punk band. Will appeal to fans of Kid Kapichi and Soft Play.

The Linda Lindas

Los Angeles based American pop-punk/rock band. A couple of full length albums under their belt alongside some efforts for film soundtracks.

Heartworms

Jojo Orme is one of the most intriguing new artists to appear in the UK over the last few years. Musically mixing elements of goth, rock and indie in a fairly unique style. A World War 2 aeroplane enthusiast who volunteers at the RAF Museum.

Mannequin Pussy

On the bill for last year but forced to pull out last minute. American indie-rock and punk band. Last years fourth album ‘I Got Heaven’ was extremely good. A solid alternative if you if want something more guitar based than AJ Tracey.

High Vis

A UK rock band with a blending of styles including hardcore punk, post-punk, indie-rock and a hint of Mancunian Baggy. They have worked hard to build their following. Strong live performances.

The Chats

Classic garage-rock band with Australian accents. Will appeal to any Amyl and The Sniffers fans.

Girl Group

There is a huge sense of fun underpinning this group. Can do indie-pop well but can shift gears in a range of interesting ways.

Enna

Only three singles available to listen to, all released this year, but they sound very good. Very contemporary pop stylings.

Charles

Intriguing singer mixing pop music with r & b and other modern themed genres.

Phoebe Green

Supported by a wide-range of taste-makers including the BBC, Rolling Stone and the NME. Primarily pop-music though shows a range of influences in her work.

Artio

A highly contemporary English alt-rock band from Leeds formed in 2018. Featured in Kerrang’s ‘The Sound of 2025’ article.

overpass

A four-piece indie-rock band from Birmingham. Have recently supported Wunderhorse and The Wombats which shows they are turning talented heads. Turning out polished tracks that were built to be played in large venues with large singalongs. Very promising.

Jack Dean

UK singer-songwriter with a very strong singing voice and a god ear for a pop-tune. For fans of Tom Grennan and Benson Boone.

Ashley Singh

London based singer and guitarist whose tracks cover indie-pop and indie-folk. Debut album comes out in October. For fans of David Kushner and Myles Smith.

Chanel Yates

From the UK but specialising in country pop music. For fans of Dasha.
