Irish quartet Lankum, comprised of Ian Lynch, Daragh Lynch, Radie Peat, and Cormac MacDiarmada are Reading Indie Life favourites, having redefined Irish folk music with their immersive, experimental, sound. Their Mercury Prize-nominated 2023 album False Lankum has cemented them as one of Ireland’s most vital musical voices. The Lankum live show has to be seen to be believed. Watching them play False Lankum in full at the Hackney Empire last year was an incredibly magical experience. It made us jump on what looks to be their only appearance in the South of England this year.

The Twilight Sad, hailing from Scotland, have carved out a powerful niche in the indie rock world with their emotionally charged sound and evolving sonic palette. From their acclaimed debut Fourteen Autumns & Fifteen Winters to the critically lauded IT WON/T BE LIKE THIS ALL THE TIME, which hit No. 1 on the UK Vinyl Chart, the band has consistently pushed boundaries. Following extensive tours with The Cure across the UK, EU, and North America, they are currently at work on their sixth studio album.

caroline defy easy categorisation, a rich palette of ideas and experimentation. New album caroline 2 is both fragile and booming with intensity. We are looking forward to watching them translate their work into a live environment.
