This grunge tinged alternative rock outfit from Brighton are touring to support their excellent debut album In Ways. You don’t want to miss out on this one!

I always scan through what is coming up at the Purple Turtle as they end up with some truly brilliant bands before they blow up. Already this year has seen some amazing talent on the stage. When I checked out Slung on Spotify they quickly grabbed my attention. Have a listen to single ‘Laughter’, there is a huge amount of quality on display here:

Most recent single ‘Class A Cherry’ shows how they can lean into a heavier sound, whilst still maintaining strong melodies.

Reading Indie Life: How are you feeling about heading out on tour?

Slung: Beyond excited. It’s ever so nice to not just talk about the record that we have made but go out and play it for people!!  

RIL: How excited are you about debut album ‘In Ways’ coming out?

Slung: 11/10 

RIL: What can the audience at the Purple Turtle expect from Slung on stage?

Slung: Hooks, riffs, occasional banter, a reminder about the fact that we have some merch for sale, followed by more hooks and riffs.
