Single of the week is going K-Indie (Well, we have K-pop, can we make K-indie a thing?) this week…

Single of the Week: Balming Tiger – Wash Away

Balming Tiger are a genre hopping alternative music collective from South Korea active since 2018. They will be at Reading Festival and should be well worth a look. This is an absolute Summer vibes single that probably should have come out in July, let it blow away the Winter gloom with its up-tempo goodness.

Lisa feat. Doja Cat and Raye – Born Again

Insane star power colab as Blackpink’s Lisa recruits Doja Cat and Raye for a high quality guaranteed chart hit.

Rachel Chinouriri with sombr – All I Ever Asked

Another month, another high quality Rachel Chinouriri collab. sombr is a New Yorker relocated to California racking up major streams across a number of recent singles.

Hamilton Leithauser – Burn the Boats

Hamilton Leithauser is knocking out the singles at quick rate ahead of the new album. Another highly enjoyable effort.

Joy Crookes feat. Kano – Mathematics

Gorgeously soulful tune.

Jadu Heart – Post Romance

2nd single in quick succession. I love the strings on this coupled with the floating vocals.

Kingfishr – Man on the Moon

‘The Nicest Boys in Guitar Music TM’ are back with another lovely effort. Album? Album? Pleeeeeeeease?

Divorce – Hangman

Very, very good new single. Despite sounding American they hail from Nottingham. Album due in March. Look out for the small venues tour out there on sale.

Dora Jar – Lucky

Beautiful voice over strumming guitar, I like this one a lot.

Alex Orange Drink with Conor Oberst

Bright Eyes himself pops up to and a sprinkling of Indie Royalty to this slightly grungy effort.
